An Enchanted Musical Evening with Adam Gyorgy and Bence Szepesi at Hotel Tugu Bali

Bali, April 2019– Hotel Tugu Bali is honored to share the rare occasion of a most magical evening in Bali with two of the world’s most celebrated classical musicians, Adam Gyorgy and Bence Szepesi, on May 14 2019.

Young and handsome Adam Gyorgy began his career as “The Unknown Pianist” in his home country of Hungary. By today, over 300 million people know his name around the globe, the number of spectators who saw him playing Chopin in Poland, during the opening the UEFA European Football Championship with a live global TV broadcast. Never wanting to stick within the rigid borders of classical and other genres of music, this talented pianist has frequented major world stages such as the Carnegie Hall in New York and others. In his Tugu’s performance, we will get to see Gyorgy’s solo piano improvisations, works of Frederic Chopin and Franz Liszt.

Joining Gyorgy on several numbers is another Hungarian celebrated musician, Bence Szepesi. As a clarinet player, Szepesi has already achieved considerable recognition in his native Hungary and throughout Europe. A graduate with distinction from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, he counts among his honors Hungary’s Artisjus Award and now teaches at the University of Miskolc. He has lectured and performed widely as soloist and as principal clarinetist of the Dohnanyi Symphony Orchestra, and he directs the Budapest Saxophone Quartet, which he founded in 1995. His virtuosity and poetry are unparalleled in the clarinet world.

Adam Gyorgy is a dear friend and an avid fan of Tugu Hotels, and we feel very honored that he will play for this exclusive event for no cover charge, at the majestic venue Bale Agung stage at Hotel Tugu Bali, a soaring 15 meter tall hall of extraordinary proportion supported by giant Papuan beams, inspired by the sacred hall of a Balinese ancient village, with the biggest and oldest Garuda statue gracing the center of the stage.
