Echoes of Nusantara: A Musical Journey with Indonesian National Orchestra at Bale Agung, Hotel Tugu Bali

This magical orchestra will show their music magic on May 7th, 2024, at 8 p.m. inside the otherworldly Bale Agung Hall, Hotel Tugu Bali.

The Indonesian National Orchestra (INO) was founded by Franki Raden in 2010 with a mission to proudly showcase the musical heritage and make the world witness the fusion of musical traditions and contemporary music cultures for an innovative musical landscape for the millennium. Franki Raden himself is a renowned Indonesian composer, cultural critic, and ethnomusicologist whose been in the music industry, culture, and academia over three decades. He also has many accolades including Best Film Music Awards (Piala Citra) and got his doctoral degree in ethnomusicology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This alluring performance will leave a special spot in your core memories, as it also features Satya Cipta, an artist and a graduate of the Institut Kesenian Jakarta (IKJ).

Set at the Bale Agung Hall at Hotel Tugu Bali, this venue’s Garuda Statue welcomes you with wings unfurled. Carved from a 120 year old tree, this 4.5 meters tall statue is a form of Garuda, mythical bird which also a well-known watchful protector and the mightiest of all birds; a perfect venue to hypnotize the audience for this majestic performance on contemporary music performed with traditional instruments from all across Indonesia.
