Arts In Harmony
Bataviasche Kunstkring, one of the most beautiful historical buildings in Jakarta, now managed by Tugu Hotels & Restaurants Group, known for bringing back to life the beautiful art, culture and history of the archipelago. The grand building has been decorated and returned to its original splendor, titled as TUGU KUNSTKRING PALEIS, an oasis of art & culture and culinary delights, exactly 101 years after its first opening in the Dutch Colonial Times.
Nowadays, not many people are aware of the strong artistic legacy that Kunstkring had left behind. We hope to bring out the story of the glory of Kunstkring from the early 20th century, and hopefully rekindle its spirit for the development of Indonesia and Jakarta’s art scene.
The December art event will be ” ARTS IN HARMONY ” ( December, 1-21, 2015), a water color painting exhibition by Irwan Widjayanto & Moelyono. In collaboration with “Shout out : Let’s Share!” through Soedarjo Foundation, it comes along with Y & D Setyohadi Stylish Painting Porcelain Dinnerware by Yulie Nasution Grillon & Dara Setyohadi.
