Jakarta, July 2026 – De Tiger , the Far East speakeasy tucked inside House of Tugu Old Town Jakarta, announces a collaboration with Kiki Moka, recognized as one of Asia’s iconic mixologists and ranked as the World’s 75th Best Bartender , for Tiger Experience Vol. I: A Bar Takeover by Kiki Moka. The evening will take place on Saturday , 18 July 2026, at De Tiger , House of Tugu Old Town Jakarta, with limited seating to preserve the intimacy of the speakeasy experience.
This collaboration brings together two forces in one night: Kiki Moka’s standing as one of Asia’s most respected mixologists, and De Tiger’s philosophy as a home for the stories of Batavia that are rarely told.
For De Tiger , welcoming Kiki Moka is more than a bar takeover . It is an extension of the mission the venue has carried since its inception: to share the story of the old Sunda Kelapa harbor and the spice routes that once made Batavia one of the busiest crossroads of culture in the world, told through a medium today’s guests know best, the cocktail.
Every cocktail at De Tiger is crafted as a chapter of a larger story rather than simply a mix of spirits. At the heart of that story is Merem, the one-eyed Javanese tiger rescued in the early 20th century , who now stands as the symbol of courage and freedom woven into every experience at De Tiger . Through Tiger Experience, guests are invited to first find De Tiger’s hidden door before stepping into a world that brings Batavia’s stories back to life, this time through Kiki Moka’s own interpretation.
Kiki Moka is Group Head Bar Manager of The Union Group Jakarta and the figure behind The Cocktail Club, ranked No. 12 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024 and previous winner of the Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu Award 2023. His standing as Asia’s Iconic Mixologist and the World’s 75th Best Bartender makes him one of the most anticipated names in Indonesia’s bar scene.
With more than two decades of experience, Kiki began his career as a bartender at LOEWY in 2008 and became Indonesia’s first-ever representative at the Diageo Reserve World Class Bartender of the Y ear competition in 2011. He is widely known for championing Indonesian ingredients such as sopi, cap tikus, and ciu, and has long been a leading reference point for the country’s mixology scene. On the night of Tiger Experience Vol. I, Kiki Moka will take over De Tiger’s bar and present a series of specially crafted cocktails designed to speak directly to De Tiger’s philosophy and narrative, pairing world-class mixology craftsmanship with the local stories that define the venue’s identity .
The evening will also feature a music performance by Skeletale, and is supported by Cenote Tequila, Muda Mulia Sentosa, and The Cocktail Club. Set under the theme “Behind Every Hidden Door , There Is a Story ,” Tiger Experience Vol. I invites guests to become part of a story that continues to be shared every time De Tiger opens its doors for a new collaboration with mixology’s finest.
