Condé Nast Traveler has revealed the winners of its iconic annual Readers’ Choice Awards 2021, in which over 800,000 registered readers voted for the world’s finest hospitality brands. Tugu Hotels & Restaurants is pleased to announce that 3 of its renowned hotels in East Java, Bali, and Lombok are among the 5 Indonesian hotels that have been chosen as the Top Best Hotels in Asia.

Having been bestowed titles from the award in previous years, Tugu Hotels & Restaurants’ three wins in a year marks a new milestone from the Indonesian luxury art hotel chain. “In a year where travel was more of a wishful thinking than reality, we’re humbled that Hotel Tugu Malang, Bali, and Lombok still received so much love and support from its guests that have made their way into the voting round. In a world where social media has expedited the gentrification of luxury travel, these awards confirmed our beliefs that being unique, being authentic just never goes out of style.

We also hope that these awards will inspire new trips and experiences in understanding Indonesia, from the eyes of Tugu, steeped in history and culture,” Tugu Hotels & Restaurants’ Managing Director, Lucienne Anhar, stated.

Hotel Tugu Malang, the group’s first property, is an indigenous, most fundamental method of experiencing Java’s wonderful wealth of history. Having played host to a number of prominent and well-known individuals both locally and globally, the hotel has consistently been titled as one of the world’s most distinctive hotels. Home to a vast, precious collection of antiquities inspired by Peranakan culture (the hundreds-years-old mixed culture between the Chinese migrants in Java and the native Javanese), Hotel Tugu Malang features artfully decorated rooms and suites, top rated restaurants, and unique meeting venues.

Located in the heart of Canggu, Hotel Tugu Bali is an exquisite contrast of authentic Balinese ambiance and a hipster location. Infused with Bali’s many histories and folklore, the hotel houses Balinese arts that date back to hundred years back. Relax in one of the spacious Balinese themed villas and suites for a fully relaxed holiday, before surfing at Batu Bolong beach, located just in front of the hotel, or explore fashionable boutiques along the street, before wrapping the day by watching the gorgeous sunset from the rooftop of Ji Restaurant while indulging in quirky cocktails and the crowd-favorite Japanese dinner.

The 36 villas and bungalows of Hotel Tugu Lombok are dispersed across 6 hectares of land, fringed by 5 kilometers of pristine white-sand Sire beach. The hotel is enveloped by the blue sea, blessed with a scenic Mt. Rinjani view, lush tropical gardens, and palm trees. This secluded tropical parad ise resort is home to rescued ancient temples, historical statues, and palatial architecture thickly influenced by Lombok’s heritage and legends from the ancient Mahabharata. It is truly one of a kind, and guaranteed to transport guests to the otherworldly beauty of Indonesia. Tugu Hotels in Java, Bali, and Lombok are looking forward to welcoming their guests, seeking to take a breather from the daily grind of life. The hotels strictly adhere to WHO protocols and government requirements on safety, cleanliness, and stringent sanitizing processes, so one can sit back, relax, and enjoy a completely protected retreat where comfort comes first.
