Retreat to Simplicity at Tugu Blitar

retreat to simplicity at tugu blitar

To discover the real, unspoiled East Java is to pay a visit to the town of Blitar and its surroundings.

Blitar is a small charming town where most of the remains of the Majapahit Kingdom still stand timeless, including the largest and most beautiful Hindu temple complex in East Java, Candi Penataran. It is also the hometown and final burial ground of Soekarno, the legendary first President and proclamator of Indonesia’s independence. This nostalgic town is blessed with pristine beaches, lush tropical landscapes, beautiful rice fields and countryside charm.

Hotel Tugu Blitar, unprecedentedly the best hotel and restaurant in Blitar, is located in the heart of the city, approximately 2 kilometers from the Soekarno Cemetery, 10 kilometers from Candi Penataran and 40 kilometers from Mount Kelud. This hotel depicts the grandeur of colonial-time East Java in mid-19th century.
